Here Kitty-Kitty

In honor of National Pet's week, I thought today I would share some images of the cats in and near our home.

Pippin is one of the cats that we rescued a year ago.  He sort of comes in and out of our home.  When the weather is really bad we bring him indoors.  He likes to follow the pups when they go outside; but nowadays, he has become more of an indoor cat than outdoors.  He's become spoiled to the comforts of home & his indoor buddies Bella & Luna!Ah sweet Max...he's an outdoor kitty that roams between our yard & the neighbors yard.  He is a beautiful boy! What can I say...Bella was the 1st kitty that joined our Cat-Pack.  She is indeed beautiful!

Bella & Luna took up residence in our den a couple of years ago.  They are always hanging out on my piano, ready to greet me when I open the den door.

There's a new kitty in town....and no matter how much I call "here kitty-kitty" she keeps her distance.  We are feeding her when we see her, maybe in time she will trust us enough to allow us to get close to her.

Last of all is O L L I E!

My buddy...my pal...my constant feline companion.  Wherever I am....he is there also. Thanks for visiting, have a Blessed week!

Creating Artful Images

Creating Artful Images

Everyone gets to a point where they are ready to try something new; for me it came by way of creating artful images.  I've tried my hand at digital art work before....it is a rather time consuming process.  But in certain instances...it is quite rewarding.

The 1st step in my process is a little photo editing in Lightroom & Photoshop.  Mainly adjusting the colors and clarity in Lightroom and then adding the desired filter(s) and of course my copyright watermark to the image.

For this particular project, I began with an incredible image of Bella.

It's been a while since I've taken any photos of Bella. While she is indeed sitting on a window ledge...you cannot tell that there's a window behind her...the light washed it all out. Which was fine with me....it made for a splendid image of her.

The 2nd image I decided to work with was the one of the dragonfly on the Peony flowers that I shared in my garden post on Monday.

It is one of my favorite images from a couple of days ago...the dragonfly on the peony flower with the lighting behind it is just delightful.

The art of combining them together to get just the perfectly created artful image is one of knowing the images you want to work with as well as having some amazing textures and filters to add to the photo.  This, for me was the more time consuming aspects of the process.

Time consuming though it may have been, when I combined the two images together....they came together rather beautifully I think.

Thanks for visiting, have a blessed day!

The Garden is Coming Alive

Little by little, moment by moment, day by day....the garden is coming alive!

The garden is alive with so much life both by the way of the lush blooms and the various wildlife.  I especially love the dragonflies.

I'm definitely enjoying being present in the now.

Thanks for visiting, have a blessed day!

FAMILY TIME IN TEXAS

Last weekend I made a quick trip to Texas to spend the weekend with my girl and the kiddo’s. We packed a whole lot in the two days I was there.  When I arrived, we all met up at a park and thus began the weekend with family.

BLUEBONNETS AT SUNRISE IN TEXAS

This past weekend I took a weekend trip to Texas, a place that I called home for 21 years.  I took a lot of photos of my trip, the various wildflowers that line the highways in the Spring, family, a local carnival, a Renaissance Festival, and the beautiful Bluebonnets.

Looking Back

It's hard to believe that we are already in April.  The month of March has come and gone...and I've remained in a state of stillness for the most part.  But I did manage to get out & do a little earthing.

Welcome to March!

Sunny days ahead to brighten up the days.  Winter's cold will soon be goon.  As the chimes sing sweet songs of what's to come; the lovely flowers rise up to greet the day & sprinkle joy along the way.
