While most people have taken their trees down after the 1st of the year, here in Louisiana, some of us keep ours up until after Mardi Gras.  Why?  Well, because many of us here transform our Christmas trees into a Mardi Gras tree.  This year, I did the same. I have to admit, I have really enjoyed our Mardi Gras tree and I almost hate to take it down.  There were bits of Mardi Gras spread throughout the living room...and even my beloved Sadie shares in the spirit of the Season.

This weekend is our local Mardi Gras parade, and throughout the state, it is indeed Carnival time!  Ending with the biggest and best on Fat Tuesday - Mardi Gras.

I don't know if we will make it to the local parade this weekend or not.  Time will tell.

So from our area to yours, HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

(means Let the Good Times Roll) What about you?  Do you enjoy the Carnival?  Do they have them in your neck of the woods?

Thanks for visiting...hope to see you again!
